LPCM Digital Audio Decoder 
This HDMI audio converter decodes the embedded LPCM digital audio from the HDMI output from PS3, Blue-ray, HD DVD player, HD cable box, DTV and so on into multi-channel surround sound in analog format for older non-HDMI home AV receiver, preamp or amplifier equipments.

User can fully enjoy the original digital audio content with all sonic details that the studio originally made for the HD movie. The decoded analog audio output from this device produces an accurate duplicate of sound which is bit-for-bit identical to the studio master, so listening at home is the ultimate home cinema experience.

This device is fully complaint with the new HDMI 1.3 standard. The new HDMI 1.3 increases its single-link bandwidth in order to support the demands of future high definition devices, such as higher resolutions, higher frame rates, Deep Color in both audio and video areas. 

In terms of audio, HDMI 1.3 compliance is essential for implementing the new high definition audio format. Any recent version of HDMI can carry legacy Dolby Digital and DTS in bitstream form. However the new HDMI 1.3 adds additional support for new, lossless compressed digital audio formats for Dolby and DTS HD audio. To carry these new HD audio formats, both the input source device and the receiving end must be with HDMI version 1.3 in order to provide the highest sonic performance. This new adopts the new HDMI 1.3 standard so it can provide up to 8 channels of lossless surround sound, giving users the highest quality audio experience same as realistic as seated in the movie theater.

In terms of video, this unit can support digital video formats in Deep Color mode from 25MHz to 225MHz for 36 bits (12 bits/color).  The increased bandwidth in HDMI 1.3 enables higher display resolutions beyond the typical 1920x1080P resolution and improved color depth allowing for more picture quality improvement for the future.
